Our long-serving chairman receives prestigious accolade for her contributions to the Road Haulage industry at the Motor Transport Awards.
Anne Preston, who first entered the road haulage industry in 1960, is honoured to have been inducted in to Motor Transport Hall of Fame Motor at a prestigious awards ceremony on the 4thJuly, 2018. Through receiving this accolade, Anne’s contribution to the haulage and logistics industry is recognised alongside a catalogue of haulage titans.
Since joining the family business in the early 60s, Anne has witnessed significant changes to both Prestons of Potto as a company and the industry as a whole. She has had to forge her way as a woman in a highly male-dominated industry, although she states that this may have been a key to her success. Her achievements include being the first female board member of the Road Haulage Association (RHA) and receiving the MBE for her services to the logistics industry.
Anne is delighted to have received this accolade from the Motor Transport Awards, and wishes to thank the fantastic team at Prestons who have given many years of dedication to the company.
